Each vase of tapering form with high shoulder on short foot, cast, carved, gilded and inlaid in silver, shakudo and copper, one with a hawk eyeing a snake on a pine tree, watched by a monkey, one with an owl and monkey on a ginko tree entwined with a wisteria vine, and birds, the backgrounds finished brown, signature plaques on base
