Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Yoshimitsu koku
The box rectangular, the lid chiseled and inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo and copper with a rooster and hen by chrysanthemums, the interior and base lined with dark brown wood panels, stamped jungin (pure silver) on base
4 x 5½ x 2in. (10.2 x 14 x 5.1cm.)
With original wood stand with silver rims
