The transparent ruby-red bottle is of elongated ovoid form and raised on a circular footrim surmounted by a wide cylindrical mouth and is carved overall with a symmetrical pattern of irregular facets.

This is an unusual multi-faceted ruby glass example from the Imperial Glassworks. The tall ovoid form is relatively rare amongst the group of faceted bottles made at the Palace. The wide mouth suggests a date relatively early in the 18th century.
