THREE JADE OPENWORK BELT PLAQUES
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
One of greyish-white color is rectangular and carved with a four-clawed dragon leaping in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst scrolling flames and clouds above a recessed border. One of white color is of peach shape and carved with a long-tailed bird perched amidst the leaves of a scrolling peony stem. The third, also of peach shape, is of greyish-white color and carved with a bixie or tianlu between pine and flowers reserved on a diaper ground.
