A GREYISH-GREEN JADE KNIFE SHEATH AND A JADE-HANDLED KNIFE
SHEATH LATE MING DYNASTY OR LATER
The tapering sheath, of oval section, is carved in low relief with a chilong, with undercut horn that forms a loop at the rim, shown crawling up one side against a ground of Y-shaped diaper encircled at the bottom by a raised zigzag band and further up by a key-fret band. The gilt-metal knife has a tapered, pale greyish-green jade handle carved with a key-fret border at the end.
