A gray schist figure of Buddha
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Seated with his hands folded in his lap holding a piled garland, clad in a voluminous sanghati fanning across the base and draped over both shoulders, the face with aquiline nose and finely carved downcast eyes centered by a raised urna, the hair arranged in variegated waves and drawn over the ushnisha, the base with a standing Buddha and lion at right and an attendant at left
