A copper figure of Padmapani
Western Tibet, 12/13th century
Standing with both legs straight with the right hand raised in abhayamudra and the left in varadamudra, holding the stem of a lotus blossoming at the shoulder, dressed in a dhoti incised with a foliate pattern with an antelope skin tied across the chest, the face with bow-shaped mouth and elongated eyes flanked by lotiform earrings and surmounted by a foliate tiara supporting a diminutive Buddha image, the hair in long locks cascading over the shoulder
