NUMBER 183 OF 250 SIGNED COPIES. This splendid piece of book production is unashamedly feminine in its choice of soft colours and ruling rococo spirit. The first three sections deal with the history of paper, ink and colour; the remainder of the book is printed on paper of different tints, all decorated in a variety of ways. Eleven samples of rare papers from ancient papyrus to modern Japanese come at the end. 'Papier d'Amiante' is shown in the above illustration.
