FIRST EDITION (another appeared in 1797) of this celebrated history of the Granadan Moriscos. Approximately 80,000 are estimated to have dispersed in Andalucia and Castile during the deportation from the Kingdom of Granada carried out as a result of the War of Alpujarras. The remainder were either killed or deported, with unspeakable acts of cruelty, at the beginning of the 17th century. Salvá II, 3028; Palau VIII, 152435: 'Esta obra goza de prestigio, por haber asistido su autor a todos los acontecimientos che rifiere'. From the second press at Malaga where printing began in 1575.
