PALOMINO DE CASTRO Y VELASCO, Antonio (1655-1726). El museo pictorico, y escala optica. Teorica de la pintura. Madrid: Sancha, 1795-1797. 3 parts in 2 volumes, 4° (296 x 201mm). Additional engraved titles, 17 folding engraved plates by Juan Palomino. (Some leaves yellowed, some spotting, long tear in 5B3, the plates with minor dust soiling and occasional light spotting in the margins.) Contemporary mottled calf, spines gilt in compartments with red and green morocco labels, edges red (corners rubbed, small wormholes at the joints). Provenance: ?'Villanoel' (early inscription in each volume) -- purchased from Monge, 1931.
