EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION, NUMBER 44 OF 50 COPIES on Holland, limited to 75 special copies overall. Loti's lyrical travel narrative records his journey with the French embassy to Fez. The original watercolour designs by E. Rigola were executed for Izidoro Fernández in 1926. Vicaire V, 406-407.
