Showing a large group of people holding portraits of Mao Zedong and celebrating Labour Day, the banners they are holding loosely translate to: 'International Labour Day May the first' and 'Ten thousand people singing together The East Is Red' (the de facto anthem of the PRC during the Cultural Revolution)
The vase is signed by the painter Wang Dafan (1918-1963)
Marked to base 'Jiangxi Gye Gongsi' Jiangxi Porcelain Factory
