THREE SMALL GILT-COPPER SCHOLAR'S TABLE ARTICLES
18TH CENTURY
One is a miniature table screen with key-fret border, inset on each side with a silver sheet finely chased with butterflies flitting above tree peony growing amidst garden rocks. The second is a circular cushion-form box, the cover decorated in the center in relief with a bird perched in a prunus tree reserved on a fine ring-punched ground within a barbed hexagonal border. The third is an hexagonal box and cover with relief decoration of a flowering tree on the cover and stippled foliate scroll around the sides.
