A WHITISH JADE PEACH AND BAT GROUP
18TH CENTURY
The group is finely carved as three peaches of various sizes borne on a leafy, gnarled branch that forms the base, and with two bats, one suspending a ribbon-tied wan emblem, shown as if in flight against the background of the largest peach. There are areas of added russet color that highlight various areas of the carving and contrast attractively with the white stone.
