A LARGE GREY JADE FIGURE OF A RECUMBENT MYTHICAL BEAST
18TH/19TH CENTURY OR EARLIER
The beast is shown with its head turned to the side and grasping a lingzhi stem in its jaws. It has a single horn, segmented mane, knobby backbone and tufted tail. The grey stone is suffused with black and white speckling.
