A FLATTENED WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY IMPERIAL, PROBABLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, 1760-1800
The flattened bottle is of high-shouldered, slightly tapering form. One side is delicately incised and gilded with chrysanthemum branches. The reverse is inscribed with a thirty-two-character imperial poetic eulogy on chrysanthemums. The stone is of an even white tone.
2½ in. (6.9 cm.) high, hardstone stopper

A private Los Angeles collection, acquired in the 1950s-1960s.
