Few bowls of this unusual shape and design appear to have been published. Compare a similar bowl in the collection of Helen and Peter Lin illustrated in the exhibition catalogue, Joined Colors: Decoration and Meaning in Chinese Porcelain - Ceramics from Collectors in the Min Chiu Society, Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C., 1993, p. 101, no. 30.
