A RARE PAIR OF BLUE ENAMEL AND GILT-DECORATED 'EGGSHELL' DISHES
18TH CENTURY
Each is thinly potted with shallow rounded sides, and the interior is delicately decorated with a scene of a woman holding a fan seated across the table from a man playing a flute, the two surrounded by wine jars, antiques, and a parrot on a pendent circular perch, below four cymbidium flowers reserved on a band of foliate scroll on the everted rim and repeated in larger size on the underside.
