A 'SIMULATED BAMBOO' CYLINDRICAL BRUSH POT
TONGZHI IMPRESSED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
The cylindrical body is slightly waisted and carved on the exterior with the gnarled trunk and flowering branches of a plum tree amidst bamboo. It is covered overall, with the exception of the foot ring, with enamel of mottled caramel-amber color in imitation of bamboo.
