QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND PROBABLY LATE IN THE PERIOD
The cover is decorated in famille rose on the central raised panel with a scholar seated at a desk with female attendants serving tea. The panel is surrounded by gilded flower heads reserved on a turquoise-enameled, finely beaded ground that is repeated on the sides of the box and cover, all within gilded borders. The interior and base are also covered in turquoise enamel.
