Obong 4o (181 x 259 mm). 22 (of 23) plates of letters within as many different engraved borders. (Lacking the letter "Z", some plates with marginal repair one affecting border.) Modern boards. Provenance: Stephanie Hopper, 1984.
The "knot alphabet" ("al fabeto a groppi") - signed by Andrea Marelli in the engraved border - was published separately but also as one of three alphabets forming the second part of the first edition of Cresci's work "Il perfetto scrittore," his second calligraphy manual. Berlin 5187; See Johnson p.38-40; and Morison p.103-106.
