Oval, the body enameled in translucent red over a wavy guilloché ground, centering an oval aperture within a seed-pearl mount, the outer border chased with stiff-leaf tips, surmounted by a ribbon twist suspending laurel swags, the wood backing with silver-gilt scroll strut and suspension loop, marked on lower edge and strut
