A PAIR OF SAVONA FAIENCE TWO-HANDLED VASES
PROBABLY 18TH CENTURY, MANGANESE ORB AND A.L MARKS TRADITIONALLY ATTRIBUTED TO AGOSTINO LEVANTINO
Each of footed baluster form, the twin grotesque handles with mask terminals, the lower body moulded with an animal mask spout, painted in manganese, green and yellow with a gentleman and his dog in landscape and with further scattered figures, animals and buildings amongst foliage, the flared foot and neck similarly decorated, mounted as lamp bases, some damage and restoration
The vases: 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) high, excluding shade (2)
