Painted with the myth of Jupiter surprising Antiope, Jupiter depicted twice, at the left with thunderbolts issuing from his hand and at the centre transformed into a running satyr, Antiope reclining against rockwork beside Cupid and Cupid also depicted in flight above, in a rocky wooded river landscape with a distant town, within a blue line and yellow band rim, section of rim cracked and restored between 4-5 o'clock, very minor flaking to rim
