Paul Sormani (1817-1877) specialized in reproducing models from the Louis XV and XVI eras, with his work thought to reveal une qualité d'exécution de tout premier ordre. His works were frequently exhibited and rewarded at the major international exhibitions of the 1850s and 60s.
