Comprising the 17th juz', Qur'an XXI, sura al-anbiya' and Qur'an XXII, sura al-hajj, Arabic manuscript on paper, 41ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 5ll. of elegant black muhaqqaq, gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, khams, 'ashr and sajda marked in gold kufic contained within blue-outlined drop-shapes, roundels or triangles in the margins, opening bifolium with gold and polychrome illumination framing 2ll. of similar muhaqqaq, folio 1r. with carpet page illumination containing floral motifs within strapwork borders, final folio with panel of gold illumination including a roundel filled with lotus flowers and a strapwork border, 3ff. lacking, marginal repairs throughout, in original brown morocco with flap, decorated with stamped central medallion and borders, the doublures stamped with intricate arabesque, spine replaced, in cloth covered fitted box
