Persian and Arabic manuscript on paper, mostly excerpts from the Qur'an, 29ff. each with lines of naskh and rayhani, the text in white clouds reserved against gold ground, the text in various sizes and mostly surrounded by scrolling vine and illumination except for the first and last folio which are on gold and plain grounds respectively, text panels within gold and polychrome floral borders set on wide gold-speckled polychrome margins, numerous panels signed and dated, previously concertina bound now with the adhesive lacking, in later brown morocco

This elegant album contains pages of miscellaneous Arabic texts signed by 'Abdullah. Some of these are dated AH 1076, 1084 and 1087/1665, 1673 and 1676 AD.

The reverse of many of the panels has the seal of an official of the Emperor Aurangzeb, which reads, Rahmat Khan-e 'Alamgir Shahi AH 1078/1667-68 AD.
