OTTOMAN TURKEY, 18TH CENTURY
Rising from short vertical foot to wide rounded body, the white ground decorated in yellow, bole-red, green, blue and black, the exterior divided into vertical panels each with a triangle of fish scale filled with red dots at top and bottom, the triangles outlined in yellow and issuing green leaf motifs, between these similarly outlined drop motifs, containing floral sprays against a yellow ground, small half medallions above and below to either side, the interior with large blue flowerhead to centre based around a small rosette, scrolling motif around, the cavetto with a series of drop shapes on alternating red and yellow ground alternated with small floral sprays, a border of scrolling vine above, hair crack, otherwise intact, the underside with maker's mark and old collector's label
