Arabic manuscript on paper, 281ff. plus 6 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of neat black naskh within gold, black and red outlined text panels, catchwords, sura headings in red, 'ashr and hizb marked in the margins in red naskh, juz' marked in white naskh contained within gold and blue marginal medallions, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination surround 8ll. of text, colophon signed Mehmet Saleh min talamidh al-ma'ruf bi-Hakkakzadeh and dated 1286, colophon followed by later owner's note, in brown morocco with gilt medallions and spandrels, marbled paper doublures
