Arabic manuscript on paper, 336ff. as numbered plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black thuluth script with Persian interlinear translation in red nasta'liq script, with gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, sura headings in white thuluth script on gold ground within gold and polychrome illuminated margins, text within gold and polychrome rules, with illuminated marginal medallions, marginal markers in red thuluth script or in gold medallions formed as tughras, catchwords, opening bifolium with gold and polychrome carpet-style illumination, followed by a gold and polychrome illuminated bifolium, the colophon signed and dated, final bifolium extensively illuminated, upper margins with added silver floral illumination, some marginal notes, upper margins restored, in Qajar lacquered binding with floral decoration dated Sha'ban AH 1214
