Comprising Qur'an LVII, sura al-mulk, to Qur'an LXXVII, sura al-mursalat, 14ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 9ll. of coloured découpé muhaqqaq script, numerous words overlapping on gold ground, with geometric rosette verse markers, text with plain interlinear divisions and within pink and orange frame formed by interlocking bands, with geometric interlocking marginal medallions, in original découpé leather binding

Lot Essay

In the colophon, the scribe states that he wrote this Qur'an juz' in the style of ('ala tariqa) Ahmad Qarahisari, the student of Asadullah Kirmani.
