AN INDO-PORTUGUESE IVORY-INLAID CABINET
GUJARAT, NORTH-WEST INDIA, FIRST HALF 17TH CENTURY; AND 18TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, the front with two doors opening to reveal six drawers, the top, sides, doors and drawers decorated with standing figures, lions and birds around trees, with brass hinges and lock with key, the cabinet probably re-assembled in the 18th century, on 18th century bone or ivory-inlaid padouk-veneered stand, old bone restoration
10¼ x 16 x 11 7/8in. (26 x 40.5 x 30.3cm) ; 31¾in. (80.5cm) high on stand
