The ribbed blue-glass sprinkler illustrated left was probably made in Europe for the Indian market during the late 18th or 19th century. Similar vessels are illustrated in Stefano Carboni, Glass of the Sultans, exhibition catalogue, New York, 2001, cat.143 and 144, pp.289-290.
