QAJAR IRAN, DATED 5 RABI' II AH 1248/1ST SEPTEMBER 1832 AD
A work probably composed for Fath 'Ali Shah or 'Abbas Mirza in AH 1232/1817-18 AD, Persian manuscript on buff paper, 142ff. plus six fly-leaves, each folio with 19ll. of black nasta'liq script, some phrases and words picked out in red, text within gold and polychrome rules, a black-ruled gold frame around the margins, catchwords, some pages with copious marginal notes, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, colophon dated and signed al-'Abd al-Mur[..] bin marhum Mir 'Abd al-Majid (?) [...], the main text followed by 12 fly-leaves and two additional works in black naskh script with 9ll. and 15ll. of text, trimmed, some folios loose in binding, in red morocco binding
