Arabic manuscript on paper, 240ff. plus one fly-leaf, each folio with 19ll. of black naskh script, with gold and polychrome roundel verse markers, sura headings in gold thuluth script over blue ground within gold and polychrome illuminated cartouches, text within gold and polychrome rules, marginal section markers in gold thuluth on blue ground within illuminated medallions, illuminated top corner medallions giving each sura title, opening bifolium with gold and polychrome illuminated margins with text in cloud bands on gold ground, final fly-leaf with later added notes, in probably original lacquered binding
