Persian manuscript on coloured paper, 18 fly-leaves plus 90ff. each folio with 14-16ll. of black nasta'liq script written horizontally or diagonally, some words picked out in red, text within blue and red rules, one folio signed, others dated, numerous blank folios, the doublures with later added notes giving information about the author and the work, in gilt red morocco binding

Abu al-Hassan Khan Mirza became famous as the Ambassador of the Shah of Iran to the Prince Regent of Great Britain in 1809-1810. Portraits of him were painted by William Beechey and Sir Thomas Laurence.
