SIGNED [..] MANSUR [..], POSSIBLY GOLCONDA, DATED AH 1042/1633 AD
Arabic manuscript on paper, 393ff. as numbered plus ten fly-leaves, each folio with 11ll. of black naskh verging on bihari script , with gold roundel verse markers outlined in black, sura headings in red script in clouds on gold ground within cartouches, text and margins with copious Persian commentary written in small black naskh script, with typical gold and polychrome illuminated medallions, opening bifolium with gold and polychrome illumination preceded by an illuminated opening with fragmentary seal impression, possibly from a Qutb Shahi ruler with date of AH (1)039, intermediate and final folio with illumination, fragmentary colophon with date and signature on the reverse of the final folio, in stamped red morocco binding
