A GILT CLEAR GLASS COVERED BOWL
PROBABLY OTTOMAN TURKEY, 19TH CENTURY
With straight body rising from a plain base, the gilt cut decoration with three escutcheon-like roundels within a band of geometric motifs, between two registers with a garland of recurring floral motifs, the lightly domed lid with a further floral band, the finial in the form of a dervish's turban with gilt palmettes
9½in. (24cm.) high, 7 1/8in. (18.2cm.) diam.
