Lot Essay

Taka was the wife of Amenmes, and the couple is known from a painted limestone statue now in the Egyptian Museum, Turin, accession no. 3059 RCGE 5551. Both this shabti and the pair statue present characteristics - the modelling of the ears for example - which suggest a dating to the reign of Amenthotep III onwards.
