The reclining figure with lyre-shaped face and pointed chin, long slender tapering neck, and sloping shoulders with sharp shoulder points, the arms crossed right below left beneath the breasts, with deep leg-cleft perforation

Lot Essay

The Bent Sculptor's work is modest in scale and often displays characteristic pointed chins, a leg-cleft running from the knee to ankle, sharp shoulder points and profile contours of the legs.
