Lot Essay

According to the Archives of the Omega Museum, the present watch was manufactured in 2008.

With unstamped Omega International Chronometer Certificate card, as well as unstamped Precious Stones Certificate card, pictograms and International Warranty cards. The watch is further delivered with an operating instructions manual.

The present model incorporates a co-axial escapement, invented by the late horologist George Daniels. Its design is based on the double co-axial escape wheel, a lever with three pallet stones and impulse stone on the balance roller, together with a free sprung balance. Compared with the lever escapement, the co-axial system reduces sliding friction and consequently ensures greater accuracy over time.
