A MEISSEN ORNITHOLOGICAL PART DINNER-SERVICE
LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, PRESSNUMMERN AND INCISED LETTERS AND NUMERALS
Painted with birds perched on branches within ozier-moulded borders and gilt line rims, comprising:
A large circular tureen and domed cover with putto and cornucopia finial (two rim chips to tureen)
Two shaped oval vegetable dishes and covers with putto and cornucopia finials (each with small rim chip to scroll handle)
A circular sauce tureen, cover and stand (slight chipping to finial)
An oval sauceboat on fixed stand
Four leaf-shaped dishes (one leaf handle cracked and restored, one with minute rim chip, one with chipping to applied leaves at handle)
A mustard-pot on fixed stand (lacking cover)
Eight dinner-plates (one with large restored rim chip, five with footrim chipping)
One side-plate
And a modern Herend muffin dish and cover with lemon finial, painted with fruits and flowers
