A PAIR OF 16-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUNS

With browned twist sighted barrels each signed in full on the rib, engraved patent breeches each inlaid with a short platinum line, set with a pierced platinum-plug and retaining some original faded case-hardened finish, foliate and scroll engraved tangs, locks engraved en suite, signed 'C. LANCASTER LONDON' and decorated with a differing vignette involving game birds, well figured walnut half-stocks each with chequered grip, chequered fore-end and no provision for a ramrod, silver escutcheons, engraved iron mounts including blued trigger-guards each decorated with pointer on the bow, and blued butt-plates each with hound and pheasant tang, London proof marks and barrelsmiths mark 'CL' for Charles Lancaster
