With blacked nitro barrels each signed in full on the tubes and engraved 'THE ROYAL', engraved with a spray of scrollwork and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold on the rib, the underside of each pair of barrels engraved 'MADE IN ENGLAND' and 'GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NYNY' beneath the fore-end, 2¾in. (70mm) chambers, bored approx. ¼ and ½ choke, case-hardened best Royal scoll engraved actions each signed 'THE "ROYAL" MODEL' on the underside, blued toplevers engraved en suite and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, blued automatic safeties each with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', case-hardened hand-detachable locks engraved en suite, each signed 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND' and with gold-inlaid cocking-indicator, well figured 14¾in. diamond-grip stocks including ¾in. ventilated rubber recoil pad, blued rolled-edge trigger-guards each engraved en suite, and gold escutcheons each engraved with the initials 'E.M.B.', in original makers leather motor case, the exterior initialed 'E.M.B.'

The makers have kindly confirmed that this pair of guns were completed in 1965 and were made for the vendor's father. The guns remain in little used condition
