With swamped rebrowned twist turn-off octagonal barrel signed in full on the top-flat and engraved with a band of running foliage at the breech-end, pivoting blade/bead fore-sight, shaped action housing the rotating breech-block and incorporating the hinged magazine-access opposite the lock, the whole engraved with scrollwork, flower-heads, sunbursts, swags and martial trophies, slender down-curved tapering loading-lever with button finial, back-action lock signed in full on a ribbon and engraved with flowering foliage, the priming-pan with sprung hinged magazine-cover, swelling chequered figured walnut butt with characteristic carved pommel, large border engraved silver 'wagon-wheel' escutcheon with slotted outer edge, and engraved iron trigger-guard
