A RARE CASED 80-BORE HARVEY PATENT (FIRST MODEL) SIX-SHOT 'HAMMERLESS' PERCUSSION REVOLVER
HARVEY, EXETER, SERIAL NO. 3637, CIRCA 1854
With blued octagonal sighted barrel, rifled with two grooves and cut with a slot for engaging the rammer, plain serial numbered cylinder with chambers numbered from '1' to '6', border and scroll engraved action retaining some original faded case-hardened finish, and fitted with sliding thumbpiece safety-catch, chequered figured saw-handled walnut butt, blued trigger, and border and scroll engraved blued trigger-guard, London proof marks, in original fitted oak case lined with green baize with some accessories including Sykes revolver flask, a Harvey combined rammer stripping-tool, and Eley soft leather percussion cap pouch with W.J. Harvey label, the lid with Harvey trade label.
