With foliate and scroll engraved octagonal sighted barrel signed 'WEBLEYS PATENT IMPROVED', rifled with three grooves and retaining some original blued finish, blued cylinder engraved en suite and numbered from '1' to '5', blued border and scroll engraved frame with removable inspection plate signed 'JAMES WEBLEY' on the inside, scroll engraved case-hardened hammer with chequered spur, fluted figured walnut butt in the Continental fashion carved with foliage, blued shaped butt-cap engraved en suite, blued serial numbered border and scroll engraved trigger-guard and bright rammer, retaining some original blued finish throughout, Birmingham proof marks, in original fitted oak case lined in green velvet with some accessories including revolver flask and Japanned double-ended bullet-tin, the lid signed 'LEFAUCHEUX A PARIS' in gilt letters
