The exterior of the censer is carved in shallow relief with leafy branches bearing fruits. The twin handles are modelled in the form of ram heads with loose rings. The cover is surmounted by a recumbent ram beside a sphere bearing the character 'ri', symbolizing the sun. The stone is of a pale mottled tone with apple-green, russet and darker inclusions.
