A PALE CELADON JADE ARCHAISTIC VASE AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
Of flattened form, the vase is applied with a pair of handles decorated with the heads of mythical beasts. Each side of the body is finely carved with a monster mask, with stylised archaistic scrolls extending outwards to envelop the vase. The stone is of an even pale tone.
