A BLUE AND WHITE 'FALCON' BOTTLE VASE
WANLI PERIOD (1567-1619)
The pear-shaped vase has a long slender tapering neck and supported by a short straight foot. It is painted around the exterior with two falcons tied to their perches flanked by vases containing flowers and below hanging pendants to the neck. The mouth with an associated gilt metal mount and cover.
12¼ in. (31 cm.) high overall.
